Tiny stories. Big imagination.
Tiny Tales is an open-theme illustration gallery show celebrating small moments, stories, characters, and ideas. Your interpretation of “Tiny Tales” is completely open, create a piece that tells a story, captures a moment, introduces a character, or simply sparks the viewer’s imagination.
Submission Guidelines
- Theme: Open interpretation of Tiny Tales
- Color: Work may be full color or black and white
- Medium: Any traditional medium is welcome, mixed media is also welcome
- Size: Artwork should be created specifically with the provided coaster at 4x4in
- Number of Submissions: 1 per student
Coasters
Coasters will be provided for students to create their artwork on.
You can pick up coasters from Room 368 from Associate Chair Phivi Spyridonos. Professors will also have coasters available for students, so please check with your professor if you need one.
Please make sure your artwork is created directly on the provided coaster and is ready to be displayed as part of the gallery show. No framing is required unless you want a special frame for it.
Creative Direction
There are no restrictions on the story you tell. Your Tiny Tale can be funny, strange, mysterious, personal, fantastical, dark, whimsical, or completely unexpected.
*Take a high res photo or a high res scan of your piece for the online submission.
Deadlines
October 10, 2026 at 11:59 PM — Submission Deadline
October 12, 2026 — Acceptance Notifications Students will be notified by email whether their artwork has been accepted into the Tiny Tales Gallery Show.
Friday, October 16, 2026 — Artwork Collection Accepted artwork will be collected on Friday, October 16. Please make sure your completed artwork is ready for collection by this date. You will receive a separate email with instructions.
